In recent years it has been stated that automobiles are a major contributor in harmful gas emissions. It took several years of development to create vehicles that are powered or at least partially powered by alternative fuels. Chevrolet has been one of the major first movers in creating fuel efficient and environmentally friendly vehicles. They currently have hybrid cars, trucks, SUVs, as well as electric cars and fuel cell vehicles. Here are the top five Chevrolets in regards to environmental impact.

In Buy Chevy Truck the end selling the Saturn retail brand could be the biggest mistake of all for General Motors. The retail network would open a ready-made floodgate for a host of new foreign competition to its current market position. Think China and India. All they lack is a solid dealer network in America where they can distribute, sell and service their wares, as the cars are already in the works.

If you're buying from a dealer ask to see the maintenance record. Also ask for this from an individual selling a car. If they don't have it, ask for contact information on the previous owner and where any service had been done. When buying from a Chevy Truck Deal ask for the Buying Guide, federal law says they have to show it to you.

Two-Lane Blacktop (1971) - Who needs plots? This movie doesn't! All we need is a Driver, a Mechanic, a Girl, a guy with a GTO, a 55 Chevy gasser and a few random hitch hikers to make a great car movie! This movie is all about cars and nothing else! You get to see and hear a nice 55 Chevy almost every scene as well as a GTO. The movie opens with a Drag Race and ends with one!

But don't head on down to your local chevy 4x4 truck deal just yet for a Suburban. Just because there are lots of play dates in your schedule doesn't mean you have to spend all of your money on gas. Also, just because you need lots of cargo/human room does not mean you have to dread driving the "family car." Trust me, I have road tested a number of surprisingly quick and agile family vehicles this year.

If you have to pull a trailer behind your truck you will notice that your gas mileage decreases. Usually a trailer is taller than the truck, and this blocks the wind, obviously. There are spoilers that you can install on the cab of your truck to help the wind go over the trailer and therefore it won't put as much of a pull on the truck's engine.
