I was training some new Customer Service Representatives the other day, a task I take very seriously, and came across some customer service atrocities I thought I would share. If you recognize some of the bad behavior I list below, then you should consider making some changes.

This advertisement goes against the grain. Generally, women aren't associated with doing heavy duty yard work or using large tools. But this advertisement implies that women do use these tools, and their knowledge of the kitchen and of cutting butter can be applied to the chores in the backyard. Featuring a woman in this advertisement is wise since the magazines Chevy Truck Deal readership is almost entirely women. The women who read this magazine attempt to accomplish tasks by themselves and possess a fondness for gardening and landscaping.

Two-Lane Blacktop (1971) - Who needs plots? This movie doesn't! All we need is a Driver, a Mechanic, a Girl, a guy with a GTO, a 55 Chevy gasser and a few random hitch hikers to make a great car movie! This movie is all about cars and nothing else! You get to see and hear a nice 55 Chevy almost every scene as well as a GTO. The movie opens with a Drag Race and ends with one!

My brother was nine years old when this happened. People say children have imaginations and I would accept this as such were it not so detailed. This truck was never mentioned because in my grandma's mind it was practically a forgotten memory. No pictures of the truck existed. I have viewed every photo my grandmother owns many times and I have never seen an old fashioned chevy truck bed in any of the photos. How could my brother have known about that truck when it was a part of his grandfather's life twenty-five years before he was born?

She is still young, still looking for that "real" man. Teens undergo the constant search for a real man or at least a boyfriend to call their own, but in the meantime, according to this ad, they will have to settle for a real smoke.
