The retail network would open a ready-made floodgate for a host of new foreign competition to its current market position. Think China and India. All they lack is a solid dealer network in America where they can distribute, sell and service their wares, as the cars are already in the works.

This advertisement goes against the grain. Generally, women aren't associated with doing heavy duty yard work or using large tools. But this advertisement implies that women do use these tools, and their knowledge of the kitchen and of cutting butter can be applied to the chores in the backyard. Featuring a woman in this advertisement is wise since the magazines Chevy Truck Deal readership is almost entirely women. The women who read this magazine attempt to accomplish tasks by themselves and possess a fondness for gardening and landscaping.

Does affiliate marketing ever make sense? Yes, provided both the affiliate and the merchant are selective. If you have a website about chocolate, being an affiliate of Godiva or even Hershey's would make sense. I might even click that affiliate link if your site had useful or entertaining information. If your site sells custom rocking horses (in the shape of cottontail rabbits) setting up an affiliate program for sites about children and children's toys would help sales.
